1. Who we are, and what this site is
Proxiscout ("Proxiscout", "we", "us") operates a directory that showcases independent proxy shoppers and package forwarders ("Proxies") so that shoppers ("you") can find and contact them. [TODO: legal entity name, company/registration number, and registered address]
Proxiscout is a directory and nothing more. We do not sell, buy, receive, store, forward, or ship any goods. We do not process, hold, or transmit payments between you and a Proxy. We offer no shopping, forwarding, escrow, insurance, or dispute-resolution service of any kind, and at this stage we offer no services to shoppers at all. By using this site you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
2. We are not a party to your transaction
Any arrangement you make with a Proxy is a contract solely between you and that Proxy. We are not a party to it, not an agent, broker, or representative of either side, and we take no commission from it. We do not vet the merits of any individual order, hold any funds, or guarantee that any Proxy will perform.
This means that if anything goes wrong with an order — an item is not bought, a package is lost, damaged, delayed, seized, or never arrives, a Proxy takes your money and disappears, or a Proxy behaves dishonestly — you must resolve it directly with that Proxy. We cannot resolve it for you, and we accept no liability for it.
What we can do is act on the listing. If you report a Proxy to us, we will investigate and may suspend or remove their listing. That is the extent of our involvement.
3. Listing information comes from Proxies
Rates, coverage, contact details, availability, restrictions, and everything else on a listing are supplied by the Proxy. We require proof of address before a listing is published and we review applications by hand, but we do not independently verify every claim, and information can be out of date or wrong. Price calculator results are estimates generated from the rates the Proxy entered — they are not offers, not quotes, and not binding on anyone. They exclude international shipping, customs duties, and import taxes.
Always confirm the current price and terms with the Proxy in writing before you pay.
4. Using the site
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live. You agree not to:
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-copy listings or contact details, or use them to send unsolicited messages;
- impersonate anyone, or submit a listing or review that is false or misleading;
- use the site to arrange anything unlawful, including goods you may not lawfully import or export;
- interfere with the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, or place unreasonable load on it.
You are responsible for complying with the customs, import, and tax rules that apply to you. Neither we nor a Proxy can waive them for you.
5. Proxy listings
If you list as a Proxy, you confirm that the information you give is accurate and kept up to date, that you are entitled to operate as a proxy shopper or forwarder where you are, and that you will honour the rates and terms you publish here or update them before they mislead anyone.
You keep ownership of the content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and promote that content on and in connection with this site for as long as your listing is published. We may edit listings for formatting, clarity, or policy compliance, and we may decline, suspend, or remove any listing at our discretion — including for dishonesty, unresponsiveness, or repeated complaints.
6. Reviews
Reviews require proof of a real transaction and are moderated before publication. Reviews are the opinions of the people who wrote them, not ours, and we do not endorse them. We do not remove a review merely because it is unflattering. We do remove reviews that are fraudulent, defamatory, abusive, or that publish someone's private information, and we may remove a review or suspend an account if we believe reviews are being manipulated. Do not write a review in exchange for payment or a discount, and do not review your own listing or a competitor's.
7. Premium memberships
Premium is an optional paid membership for Proxies that changes how a listing is presented — a full profile page, all contact methods, a price calculator, a showcase, blog posts, and placement above free listings. It is not an endorsement of the Proxy and does not indicate that they are more trustworthy than a free listing.
Fees are stated in US dollars at the point of purchase and are billed through our payment processor; we do not store your card details. Memberships renew until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from your dashboard, which stops the next renewal and leaves your listing Premium until the end of the paid period. Except where the law gives you a refund right, payments are non-refundable. If we suspend or remove your listing for breaching these Terms, no refund is due.
8. Availability and changes
The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any listing will remain available. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, and we may amend these Terms; if we do, we will update the date at the top of this page, and continuing to use the site means you accept the change.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties not expressly stated here, and we are not liable for any loss arising out of your dealings with a Proxy, any Proxy's acts or omissions, the accuracy of any listing or estimate, or any goods bought, forwarded, lost, damaged, delayed, or seized. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Intellectual property
The Proxiscout name, logo, design, and the compilation of the directory are ours and are protected by intellectual property law. Content submitted by Proxies and reviewers belongs to them. You may not copy or reuse the site or the directory as a whole without our written permission.
11. Termination
You may stop using the site at any time, and Proxies may ask us to remove their listing. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including sections 2, 9, and 10 — do.
12. Governing law
